Recently I’ve been reading a lot more than usual, I guess because it’s finally slowing down at work and it’s kind of nice actually. I mean I really love to read but I don’t normally because if I could choose between the two I’d either choose manga or drawing over reading a book. But I think that’s starting to change.

I read this book a few months back and I think I would like to reread some parts or just re read the whole book over again. It’s written beautifully. I’d never read a Steve Martin book, so I didn’t really know what to expect since I think of him in more of a comedy sense than anything I think. The premise of the story is about an art journalist who is following the ritzy life of a woman who knows her way around the art world and eventually gets to the top……..right before 9/11, which make her plans take a 180. I highly recommend this to all of my artsy friends, it will immediately make you want to drop everything and live a fabulously rich life in NYC and attend gallery parties with your art historian boyfriend and/or friend and live in a loft apartment with cats. Don’t ask me how I came to that conclusion.

I also finally got a chance to read this book. I haven’t seen the movie yet, which is okay because I definitely wanted to read it before I watched the movie. The little hipster in me really enjoyed the book, however sad it may be, and however cliche and predictable it may be. I liked the letter style of the book, it never got annoying. I still can’t really believe the ending though, I don’t know why I didn’t see that coming??? Apparently it is more obvious in the movie, which makes me a little upset, seeing how it was such a huge turning point at the end of the book, with no clues throughout really to hint towards it unless I really missed the clues somewhere.

Right now, I’m reading this book. I’m not usually one to read anything of nonfiction. This book, however, is an exception, and I think it’s Foer’s extremely modern writing style. (I act like I know about books. I probably don’t, so don’t listen to me.) I picked up this book thinking it was going to be a book about being a vegetarian, but by page 5 it completely turned around. It’s not a book about being vegan, it’s more on the question of, where exactly does our food come from? Which is really interesting. Of course Foer drops in stories of his younger days with his grandma and ties it in to the end of the book (I read the last paragraph, okay, I’m a horrible book reader, I told you this already), so I’m anxious to see how everything pans out.

I honestly don’t care what they do, ngl though I’d be bummed if they changed some major aspects such as heavy theme customization, the posting system style, etc etc… idk what I’m really getting at here, I don’t even see that as something they would change? I guess I’ve seen tumblr go through a lot of changes, since I started on this website back in 2008-09.

I don’t know what yahoo wants with a bunch of 12 year olds and their memes but I mean if they want to pay 1.1 bil for it then by golly get these guys some fandoms on the rocks

I was playing Minecraft, and I decided to go north with no materials other than the items i already had in pockets. For two REAL days I have spent my time going nothing but north. I eventually reached an ocean and I jumped in and swam…and swam… I was running out of food and just as i was about to give up and drown myself, i stumbled upon the most amazing thing i have ever seen. An island of 1 block sticking out of the ocean with a red rose resting on top. Against all odds, that one rose grew on that one block. This has given me hope, and i must believe that against all odds, I too can live on. I must keep going.
